The Salesians of Don Bosco managing the Alirajpur Shaikshanik Samajik Kendra in Alirajpur Town District Headquarters, together with Bosco United - the Don Bosco Alirajpur Alumni Association, have planned and prepared a COVID-19 Relief outreach to the poorest needy in 20 villages. The intention is to provide soaps and masks to 2000 families.

As the COVID-19 pandemic scourge footprint continues to expand steadily in Madhya Pradesh, with the state total rising to 2,387, of which 03 cases are reported in Alirajpur District, the Salesians of Don Bosco have decided to bring COVID-19 relief to 20 of the 89 villages in Alirajpur Block. These villages are inhabited by indigenous Bhils, Bhilalas and Rathwas who depend primarily on farming of corn, wheat, ground nuts, soya beans and custard apples, for sustenance.

In keeping with the directives of the government and the local civic administration, the necessary compliances and social distancing directives have been followed. The preparation of masks and soaps, and the subsequent distribution are being managed in collaboration with the Don Bosco Alirajpur Social Outreach Staff, Bosco United and the VEP [Village Education Project Teachers].

Since Curfew is declared from 28 April to 03 May , the outreach plan is to begin with 25 families each in 20 villages in the Alirajpur Block, with a distribution of 02 masks and 02 soap-sanitizers per family. This COVID-19 outreach by Don Bosco Alirajpur will begin after the curfew is lifted, and is to show concern and compassion for the rural poor freely.
